Óscar Alonso

Criminal lawyer

Óscar Alonso is a criminal lawyer , and has been a member of the Barcelona Bar Association since 2003. He studied law at the University of Barcelona, where he was also awarded a Diploma in Advanced Studies in research competence by the Department of Procedural Law.


In 2001 he was a stagiaire at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, having won a scholarship from the Human Rights Institute of Catalonia. He is currently studying for a doctorate in Criminal Procedure.

Through his involvement with the Bar Association he has taken specialist courses in Prison Law, the Criminal Responsibility of Children, and Violence against Women. From 2005 to 2008 he was a committee member for the Young Lawyers Group. He has been a member of the Professional Conduct Committee since 2012.


He practises exclusively in the field of criminal law, providing advice to both private individuals and businesses and appearing in courts throughout Spain.
